Jimmy May Obituary

JIMMY DALE MAY, 75, passed away July 3, 2009 at Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and is now resting in peace with his Lord and Savior. He was born in Haworth, Oklahoma on November 12, 1933 to Theodore and Jewel Lawrence May, who preceded him in death. He moved to Breckenridge, Texas in 1945 and in 1951, graduated from Breckenridge High School. He attended Texas A & M University, was a member of the Corps of Cadets including the prestigious Ross Volunteers. , and earned a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering in 1955. He made his home in Houston in 1967 and in 1973, joined Brown & Root, Inc. where he served 25 years before retiring in 1998. He was a fine Christian man and a member of Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston from 1968 to 2009. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Nicholson May; daughters, Rebecca Sue May and Crystal Ann Shook; brother, Larry T. May; grandson Eric Ryan Shook and his wife Crystal Renee Shook. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. followed by services beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood, Houston, Texas 77024, Dr. Duane Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Tallowood Now Building Fund or to Boys and Girls Country, 18806 Roberts Rd., Hockley, Texas, 77447.
