Condolences to John's family. I met John at Lanier Jr. H.S. when we were twelve. We graduated from Lamar H.S. in 1951, and from Rice in 1955 (I think John graduated in '1956 (Chem Engineering was a five year course). He had a highly successful business career, founding Vista Chemical in a leveraged buyout. He was, additionally, a really good "guy". My condolences to the family (and to Rick and Cindy Quy) of a "guy" who did things the right way. Joe Shaffer (Lanier,1948-Lamar, 1951-Rice, 1955)
