John Clifford Daugherty, Jr.
1936-2016
John was born April 27, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas, to John C. Daugherty, Sr. and Mary Daugherty. He passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. He attended St. Anthony High School and graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont. His career started at U.S. Steel and he went on to own John Daugherty Insurance Agency for many years. He was a great friend of Bill W.
He was married to his wife Rae, from Port Arthur, 55 yrs. He is survived by his wife and children: John and wife Lisa and their children Shaun and Taylor; Stacey Daugherty Jones and husband Craig Jones and their 3 children Peyton, Justin and Mason; and Tracey Daugherty Poole.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and loving friends.
A celebration of John's life was held in a private ceremony on July 10, 2016.

Oh, how we loved the Daugherty family. Someone in my family was the age of Johnny or one of his siblings. There were many good times. I just might have to quit reading obituaries...so many friends heading to the pearly gates. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Your husband and father was so adorable!!! That devilish smile and cocked head...those twinkling eyes. Rest in peace, Johnny.
