Janet/Eriks Avotins
December 29, 2005
To Ruth, John and Christine.
Jack's service was very touching and moving. The last thought of him walking Lafayette was so fitting. When I/we closed our eyes, we could see him doing this. Death is a part of life but it doesn't make it any easier to understand or accept sometimes. I'm sure those on the other side did say "Look here comes Jack". Eriks and I both liked that thought. The first people we want to greet us will be our moms.
We were lucky to know Jack and how he touched our life. He helped Eriks accept the adoption of Amber, by comparing adopting/accepting Moe into our hearts and home. Jack said, " You adopted Moe and love him as your own, just think what a child would bring." Relating those wise words forever changed our life and family. Lovingly,
Jan, Eriks, Amber and Moe
