Knew John from Princeton Elementary School through Edgewater High School. Enjoyed renewing his acquaintance when he began attending Edgewater mini-reunions held each year in April. I will remember him fondly, and I am sure others at this year's get together will reminisce and share memories of John. He was a fine person, and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. He loved his family and seemed to still enjoy running his business rather than retiring. And he shared about his "ranch" in Arkansas. John will be missed! Thanks for sharing the photo of John and his beautiful grandchildren. My husband died December 27, 2003, so I will remember both of them each year. May they rest in peace, and may we see them again on the other side!

Mr. Gold was like a father to me , he helped me in so many ways , and I am forever grateful to him and what he has done for me and my family. In his honor , I will be opening a cafe honoring his name in the future and naming one of his favorite food items after him on the menu. This was the most heartbreaking news I have received and I'm deeply affected by this. To John Jr and his Amazing Daughter he bragged so much about you have My purest ,most humbling ,sympathy , and I hope your strength and faith gets better as the days go on God Bless Mr. Gold and God Bless the family.
Your Friend and son by Inheritance,
Damion Dickerson.

Dear Johnny and Kimberley,
Your father was one of a kind and will be deeply missed. Johnny, it is kind of spooky talking to you on the phone as you sound so much like your Dad. I will miss our phone call and his latest antics in Arkansas. Clem and I send our heartfelt condolences and sympathies. Sending prayers to both of your families. Girls, your grandpa worshipped the ground you three walked on. Please know he loved you all

To the Gold Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
