JOHN D. (Jack) HACKWARD, was born on Feb. 13, 1921 in Higbee, Mo., On Nov. 30, 2001, The Lord welcomes him to his heavenly home. Jack proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard in S. Pacific. He retired after 42 years as an accountant with Hughes Tool Co. Jack is survived by Mary his wife of 55 1/2 years; Mother in Law Alice Davis; Daughter Mary Boone(Darrell) Linda Michalak (Jerry), son John Wayne(Cathi); Grandchildren Jon Boone(Deborah) Carisa Goodman(Travis), Thomas, David Michalak; Great Grandchildren: Sarah Boone, Stetsen Goodman; brother George(Patti)& Children; special friend: Margie Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents: Tom & Marie, and his brother Tom. Jack was a long standing member of Christ United Methodist Church. His Life long passion was waiting for the day of duck and goose season. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to one of the following: Christ United Methodist Church, Sagemont Masonic Lodge #1426, Knights Templar Eye Foundation of Texas. Jack was a member of Park Place Masonic Lodge #1172; Sagemont Masonic Lodge #1426; Park Place Chapter #458 RAM; Park Place Council #373 R&SM; Park Place Commandery #106 KT, Jack drilled 35 years with Park Place Commandery Drill Team, his participation continued with San Jacinto Conclave; Red Cross Constantine; Resurrection Tabernacle HRAKTP; Gulf Coast York Rite College#106; and the Houston Scottish Rite Bodies. Jack's membership continued with numerous other affiliations. Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, from 5pm to 8pm at Pasadena Funeral Chapel Temporary Facility, 2111 Pasadena Blvd. A Celebration of John's (Jack) life will be held at l0am on Tuesday, Dec. 4., at Christ United Methodist Church, 9045 Howard Dr. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Fischer, Jerry Mitchell, Bennie Heugatter, Thomas Snedecor, Kenneth Borkert and Leonard Pierce; Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Tucker, Buddy Parham, David Deleery, Vince O'Leary, John Elkinton and James Acton. Masonic services will be held at the church and Honor Guards at the graveside. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
