John McDaniel Obituary

JOHN DAVID MCDANIEL, Jr., 37, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2002, surrounded by his loving family. John David had lived in New Orleans from 1993 until he returned to Houston in December of 2001 to be cared for by his sister, Lesa, and her family, after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. Born on March 4, 1964, in Houston, Texas, John David spent 37 years bringing happiness to every life he touched. His kindness, generosity and total unselfishness is renowned. Everyone who knew him not only loved him but were bettered in many ways by his example. John David is survived by his father, John David McDaniel; mother, Ronalyn K. Hurley; sisters, Lesa Ford and Kelly Hartley; grandparents, Ronald and Zola Hurley and Lou and Jane Kremmer; life partner, Leonard Waguespack and special friend, Tim Trahan. John David also leaves behind loving family and friends, too numerous to mention. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Earthman's Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway (I-45 @ Greens Road) on Saturday, February 9, at 3:00 P. M.
