Dear family of Mr. West, I will never forget the wonderful man that he was. My husband and I were just talking about him a few days ago, concerning physical therapy, and after discussing that, the conversation always reverts back to the man whenever we think or talk about him. He truly is unforgettable, and it will always be his greatest legacy to me. Love, Carol

I will always sign the guest book when I am reminded of another year of life on this earth without him in it. He was such an outstanding example of what it truly means to be a great man. He had every quality one could think of when considering what does make a man great. Mr. John West was such a man. Sincerely, Carol Jamail McAliley

As the days and weeks pass, I miss you still. I am so happy that you were with friends who made you feel comfortable during your last days with us. I'm glad that we had a chance to renew our friendship before I left Houston, but how i miss your calls. Rest well, my true & kind friend. Iva Nell

I miss Mr. West very much. He touched lives and helped heal his patient's lives so that their quality of life would be the best it could be. He was such a joy to be around, and I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was a true gentleman, and so warm and genuine-funny, too. He was one of those rare people that we come across in our lifetime if we're lucky and blessed. Mr. West was a blessing to all those he came in contact with. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Sincerely, Carol Jamail McAliley

Johnny and I were sweethearts in the 50's. He was living in Corpus Christi and I moved to CC to attend business school. A friend of ours introduced us and we were together from that time until shortly before he left for Waco to attend Baylor. I remember Johnny always being kind and thoughtful to others. My condolences go to his children. May God bless you both. I will always remember Johnny with affection.

I first met Johnny at Baylor in Martin Hall , the athletic dorm. What a guy. We all called him "Cheyenne" because of his size. We became friends and re-connected in Houston after Baylor. My 3 daughters worked for him part time at his PT office . One of them became a PT and I am sure he had a positive influence on all three. RIP big guy and we will see you on the other side....

John West was indeed a special man, a consummate professional, kind, caring and very much a gentleman. We shared many years treating mutual patients going back to the days on Maroneal behind the Shamrock Hilton. John was always available and treated all patients equally and often for free believing it was a privilege and his duty to do his best. Thank you John for always being that person of unwavering integrity and kindness. God bless.

I met Mr. John West in 1979 after a broken wrist got me to him, and there aren't enough words to describe how wonderful he was, but if you knew him, or even saw him as a PT patient, anyone, as did I, knew how special he really was. A true gentleman. I will miss him forever. Just knowing he was on this earth made my life better. Sincerely, and with great admiration and respect, Carol Jamail Mcaliley
