Jonathan Patrick Kovar of Katy, Texas passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2017. Born July 3, 1991, Jon grew up and was a resident of Katy, Texas.
In his early years at age 6, Jon was fascinated with electronics. While playing with a toy truck with blinking lights, his parents observed him taking it apart trying to figure out why the lights would blink. Thus began his desire to learn about electronics and he never looked back.
As Jon grew up and was educated, he became a master of solving electrical and mechanical problems at home and with his classmates at U of H. Jon graduated from Taylor High School, Katy TX and will receive his BS degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Houston on May 12, 2017.
Jon was the most beautiful, loving, caring and intelligent young man who loved his family and friends, and his cat, Lucy. Jon left this world way too soon for all who knew and loved him.
Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Merry Sullivan Kovar, grandparents Leonard Kovar, Talmadge Sullivan and Clarence Philpot. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Murphy Kovar, brothers Christopher Kovar and Steven Cochran, grandmothers Suzanne Kovar, Ann Philpot and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service and celebration of his life is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 5th of May, at Second Baptist Church, West Campus (Williams House), 19449 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX 77094, (713) 465-3408. Reception to follow immediately after at church.
