Karl Sherrill Obituary

Karl Kermit Sherrill, 68 of Houston, Texas died at home after a short illness. Karl was preceded in death by his parents Ethlyn Barger Sherrill and Jackson Harold Sherill, Sr., as well as his younger brother Willis Barnett Sherrill.
Karl was born July 2, 1944, educated at Davidson School, North Mecklenburg High School and the University of Georgia. Karl began his long career in the insurance industry as a Group Life, Health and Pension specialists with Massachusetts Mutual in New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to Houston, Texas in a similar position with State Mutual before establishing his own independent firm, Fringe Benefits Planners. Karl held the Chartered Life Underwriters designation and was active in the insurance industry until the time of his death.
Karl is survived by his brother Jackson H. Sherrill, Jr. (Ann), nephew Jackson H. Sherill, III (Moira), niece Margaret S. Hughes (Shelton) all of Savannah, Georgia.

It was a real pleasure working with karl and my business health care needs. He was such a nice person and he knew the inusurance business like the back of his hand. He will be surely missed by all. RIP my friend.
