Kathleen Rogers Obituary

KATHLEEN NIKI ROGERS, 51 of Spring, Texas, loving wife, mother and daughter passed away peacefully on March 7, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 8, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her husband, Michael, son Jon, daughter Catherine, parents Nicholas and Katherine Boosalis of Richfield, MN, brother and sister in law Chris and Beatriz Boosalis of Modesto, CA, father and mother in law Jerry and Elaine Rogers of Walker, MN, brother and sister in law Scott and Linda Palmer of Lakeville, MN, bother in law Tom Rogers of Prior Lake, MN, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other dear friends. Niki had a passion for life; was quick to laugh and make others laugh. She was active in her community where she made many lifelong friends. She was amazing in her fight against her disease, drawing strength and courage from family, friends and her daily walk with her Lord. A celebration of her life will be held 10:30 Friday March, 9 at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 14301 Stuebner Airline Drive in Spring., TX 77069. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Barbara Bush Library Friends - 6817 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX 77379 or The M. D. Anderson Cancer Center 1515 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77030. The family would like to thank the staff and medical personnel of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Odyssey House of Conroe, TX for their caring treatment over the past 20 months.

Although I was not a close friend, I was always inspired by Niki's strength and courage under pressure. Her smile during tough times was amazing. God bless her family and know that she is missed by many.

Niki held my hand and prayed with me as Heather and I waited for Allan to get home from China with our baby, Joanna. Joanna is 11 years old today. It has been my privilege to hold Niki's hand over the last few weeks. She is so special to us, and I know God has her wrapped in His love.

I was able to get to know her father during her stay at Hospice. He was a loving man and showed true concern for myself and brothers as we were there for my father. I pray that the family get through this time of dispair and moves forward with fond memories of the past.. Sincerely, Chuck Rowe

I will miss your wife, your mom, your daughter and your sister!

I will miss my friend Niki! She was a dear friend of mine for at least 18 years!! We have shared many pleasant events in each others lives and we have shared many unpleasant events in each others lives. Together we helped each other but I dare to say she helped me much, much more!!!

I will miss her smile and the knowledge of her experience that helped me in my everyday ups and downs!!!

I worked with Niki at the library, and feel very fortunate to have known her. Her kindness and laughter were infectious and she was just a wonderful person to be around.
