Kelly Mims Obituary
Kelly McCann Mims passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the age of 22 years.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Vickie Mims; brother, Kevin Mims and his wife Charlotte; sister, Sarah Mims; nephew, Connor Mims; grandparents, James and Irene H. Havard; as well as other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Virginia Mims.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Grace Community Bible Church, in Richmond, with Rev. David Hodges officiating.

Steve, Vickie & Family, just hearing this yesterday made me sad for your loss. Tracey and I pray for you and for healing. Tracey also fondly remembers Kelly at Seven Lakes H.S. when she was the librarian. Nice girl and certainly raised well. Remember the great memories of Kelly and look for ways to outwardly honor her memory.

Dear Steve and Vickie, please accept our sincere sympathy to Sarah, Kevin and you both on your loss of Kelly from this short life with Kelly's life being much shorter than most. It never seems right that a parent should lose a child before our time is up. Please know that Kelly is in a better place and that we are praying for you guys.

An awesome, one of a kind, rare, and caring soul...it is a tragic loss for me (her friend), ALL her friends and her dear family. However, she is a perfect addition as a new angel to look down on us and watch out for loved ones, always.

Kelly was not only a physically beautiful person, she also had a heart of gold. She was kind and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She had a tender heart and was kind to animals. She bought our family a rescue kitten that we love dearly and I think of her so often when I am loving on him. She was always so polite. I know Kelly is happy in heaven....she will be a good angel. I really liked her and I am sad for her family and all those who loved her.
