Kelvin Chatman Obituary
10/03/1969 - 02/17/2024
Kelvin Ray Chatman, born in Houston, TX to Melva and Beatrice Chatman, Jr. passed away on February 17, 2024 at age 54. Kelvin was fluent in Japanese, loved sushi, and was a total computer geek. Kelvin leaves behind many that love him: his parents, his only son Jeremy, (Sarah), with his granddaughter, Navy; his aunts Evelyn Taylor, Theresa Haynes; his brother Victor and one sister Melva Lynn (Joe Miles); a host of nieces and nephew and their children; a special friend; as well as dear cousins. Kelvin was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Kelvin's life will be held at Harvest Time Church in Houston on March 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Flowers and cards can be sent to Ross Mortuary Inc., at 3618 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020.

I just learned of Kelvin´s death today. My family and I wish to extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Kelvin and I met at a small business meeting at Port of Houston. He was just starting Bleek and I was in need of a IT tech.
He was always conscientious and thorough in his work.
It was clear that he loved God and his family.

My dear Kelvin. You will truly be missed. It was joy knowing you. I will remember all the choir and usher rehearsal we were in together growing up at Greater Mt. Zion. My heart is still so heavy. God has another angel. R.I.P. my dear friend.

My heartfelt condolences to Kelvin's family, friends and co-workers. He graced many people with his kindness and his professionalism. We were lucky to have him work on projects supporting the City of Houston and he was known to always bring a smile to people's hearts with the added benefit of being able to successfully resolve many technical challenges. I'm truly sorry to hear that his earthly light was called what seems still too soon. Kelvin will be missed by many, and his memory will be upheld with fondness. May the thought of him always bring a smile to each person's heart.
