My Aunt Faye was Red Adair's sister. I recall visiting Aunt Faye and Uncle Lee in Houston as a young girl. I believe we met Red and Kemmie on a couple occasions. Aunt Faye was always kind and welcoming, she must have gotten that growing up in the Adair family! Anyway, when we moved away to Boise, Aunt Faye kept on writing to us for years. She also sent candy and gifts. We eventually lost touch when I became a teenager, but I will always be touched by how she and her brother's family was welcoming. She continued to talk with my mother Marie (Mariam Levy) Guidry for years, even though other parts of Guidry family had shunned my mother and her Moroccan origins. I wish I had kept in touch with Faye and her Adair family -- they were kind and accepting. That meant so much to my mother, my sister and myself!

As a young girl, I was best friends with Robyn, we sang in a quartette and dearly loved each other. The family treated me as a friend and always welcomed by visits. Wonderful memories of The Red Adair family and my life was richer having known them.

I remember her as a beautiful person in the fifties when I went to school at Henderson Elementary with Bobbie Lou. My older sister went to school with Jimmy. I had no idea both had passed too...I am very sorry for your loss but always remember, God's angels have their wings wrapped around you to comfort you.

My condolences are with the family during this difficult time.
Although I had not seen Mrs. Adair in many, many years, I still have fond memories of her and the times when we visited her down at the bay house. Kemmie taught my brother and I how to catch crabs, we always had a great time visiting; fishing, swimming and crabbing. Wonderful childhood memories made possible by her kind hospitality..
