Kenneth Junk Obituary

KENNETH JOSEPH JUNK passed away at 8:30 p.m. on November 17, 2008 at his residence in Spring, TX. He was surrounded by his loving children. He was born on September 19, 1920 in Shawnee, OK. He was the son of Matt and Fannie (Barnes) Junk. He married Freda Merl Johnson on September 28, 1941. They have four children, Daniel Junk and Jo Mondier of Spring, TX, Betty Cochran of Tulsa, OK, and Judy Riggs, Wichita, KS. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, two brothers, Edward and Leo, and one grandson, Joseph. He is survived by one sister, Dorrace Boyd of St. Louis, MO. Kenneth was loved and will be missed by his children, 13 granddaughters, two great granddaughters and five great grandsons, as well as many relatives and close friends. Friends are invited to join in a visitation with the family at Klein Funeral Home from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19th. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at 8:00 on that evening. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9AM on Thursday at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Spring, TX. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will also be held at Walker Funeral Home in Shawnee, OK at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 21st. Interment will take place on Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00 am at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Shawnee, OK. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be donated to the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery Fund.
