Kevin Davis Obituary

KEVIN R. DAVIS, born a twin on December 22, 1955, passed away on September 3rd, 2004 after a brave battle with cancer. Kevin was a long time Houston resident with many friends dating back to his school days at Spring Woods High School. After a tumultuous youth spent battling authority, riding his motorcycle and a brief career running a lodge in Alaska, Kevin settled down to build his own highly successful asbestos abatement business, Arrow Services, in Houston in the 1980's. The success of Arrow Services was a direct reflection of Kevin whose code of hard work, loyalty, integrity and personal strength of character impressed all who knew him. Kevin's good fortune was complete when he met the love of his life, his devoted wife Sandy Davis. Their years together were marked by a shared joy in life and devotion to each other and their families. Kevin was preceded in death by his twin brother, Kim Davis, his grandfather, O.K Kiphart, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Davis. Kevin is survived by his wife, Sandra Davis, his parent's, Winston and Sandy Davis, siblings' Cynthia and Jim Justinger, Erin Davis and Tim Pryor, Kip and Shanna Kiphart, Miles and Chanda Kiphart and their father, Orel Kiphart, grandmothers, Betty Brunson and Faye Kiphart, as well as his uncle Richard and Mary Brunson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Evan, Sara, Andrew, Joey, Desiree; Brett, Brittney, and Kinley. Very important to Kevin were four special people he loved as his own children, Heather, Pete, Misty and Joseph as well as his three stepchildren, Shawna, Steve and Scott. Surviving grandchildren include Dominique, Adrian, Nathan, Jared, Jessica and Jasmine. Viewing will be at Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 7th from 5-8 PM with services on Wednesday at 2PM, internment to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to: Houston Hospice Program, 8811 Gaylord, Ste. 100, Houston, TX 77024-2923 or 100 Club, 1233 West Loop South, Ste. 1250, Houston, TX 77027.

Sandy,

I'll miss Kevin especially on Wednesday nights after darts when I asked you two, "How did you do tonight"? But I will always remember Kevin for the "Cut Cable Incident". I am here if you need anything.

Sandy,

Words cannot express the sadness felt for you and your family at this time of extreme loss. We will always remember Kevin as the loudest one at the card table, the most competitive at the dart board and the one who enjoyed his life to the fullest. May God comfort you and your family and His love bring you peace.

Much love,

Liz & Glen
