Kitty Kyle Obituary

Kitty Morris Kyle
1947-2017
Kitty Morris Kyle, 69, made her heavenly debut Monday, February 20 accompanied by a host of angels and was welcomed into the loving arms of her best friend, her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Her indominable spirit and zest for life will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Kitty is preceded in death by her parents Kathleen and Billie Morris. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Jim Kyle; son, Jay Kyle (Trish) and daughter, Katy Kyle, both of Houston, Texas; grandson, Jack Kyle and granddaughter, Kate Kyle, sisters, Judy Cruse (Aubrey), Cheryl Culifer (Chris), Sandy Cathcart, (Paul), nephews, Nick Cathcart, Aubrey Cruse, Mark Cruse, Steve Cruse (DNita) and niece Lauren Cathcart Bollich (Brian). Brother in law, Keith Kyle (Jacqueline) and nephew's Wes and Brent Kyle. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren and her family is grateful beyond measure for the priceless gift of having had her in our lives.
After graduating from Pasadena High School in 1965, she attended Stephen F. Austin University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1969. While at the university she was a member of Chi Omega sorority, a cheerleader, Delta Sigma Phi Dream Girl, and 1968 Homecoming Queen.
Kitty was blessed to have had two positions in her career that she loved. Following college, Kitty was executive secretary to Dr. Denton Cooley and later became executive secretary to Jack Trotter for over forty years. Kitty and Jim own Express Employment Professionals in Houston where she has closely worked with her husband and daughter.
More than anything, Kitty adored her family and friends, who she was constantly surrounded by. She loved to travel, loved the fellowship of her friends, and loved sitting on the front porch of her family home in Huntsville, TX. She also enjoyed watching countless sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Additionally, she was blessed to have a longtime, steadfast group of friends who for years, attended Bible Study, traveled, played Bunko and even formed a book club together. Kitty was a woman of unwavering faith, who lived everyday true to Word of God. She will be remembered for her humility, selflessness, empathy, kindness, patience, and love for others.
A celebration of Kitty's life will be conducted at 1:00 in the afternoon on Friday, the 24th of February in the Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston with a reception immediately following.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Kitty's name be directed to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Sarcoma Department, P. O. Box 4486 Houston, TX 77210-4486

Praying for Gods peace, strength & comfort for all the family & friends over your loss on earth of Kitty. She was a beautiful Christian that glowed inside out with the love & beauty of Christ. My family lived across the street from them on Olive St. during our preschool years. I remember many fun times of my sister & I playing with Kitty & Cherl in their sandbox & at each others houses. We moved out of district during our elementary years & then moved back into Pasadena school district. I attended both intermediate & high school with Kitty as well as worked with her at Sears during high school & we wrapped christmas gifts together at Sears. The beauty of her life is a work of art inscribed by memory's hand upon my grateful heart & all those hearts she touched. Cherish your memories with her & of her. Kitty had the most beautifil smile & demeanor much like her mom who was my favorite high school teacher ( I had Mrs. Morris for bookeeping). Rejoice in Gods promice of Life Everlasting & knowing that Kitty is reunited with her dear loved ones who are already reigning in Heaven. With prayers & Love in Jesus Christ, Lynda Lewellyn Dement

Cheryl, Sandy, Jim, & family....Our very deepest sympathy at this difficult time. I can only imagine how heavy your hearts are at the loss, for now, of beautiful Kitty. It was my good fortune to have known Kitty as a Chi Omega sister all those years ago. As someone said to me when I lost my Dad..."The gaping hole left by the passing of a loved one is mellowed in time to a peaceful valley through which flows the river of cherished memories." Go with God, Kitty.

Jim & Cheryl, My thoughts are with you both now as you deal with this loss. Memories of Kitty in Chi O are fresh on my mind and oh how I admired her easy popularity and great looks! In time I'm sure you will come to smile when she crosses your mind, not from grief but from gratitude that you were able to know and love her...and she, you! God bless you both and the family too!

I was just thinking how beautiful and sweet Kitty always has been. As a kid I had a bad case of "I want to be her when I grow up"
I know she left an amazing legacy of kindness and love ❤
