I met Lee almost 6 years ago when we shared an office. He was friendly, helpful, and professional. We formed a close bond. I enjoyed listening to his stories of his travels, his military experiences, old movie stars, and his observations on women from other cultures. He had a great attention to detail and would chanstize me for not wearing enough jewelry !! I loved Lee. And I join the ranks of those who will greatly miss him.

Those of you in the family who read this will not have ever known of me. I met Lee Capps in the late 1960's when I was a young lawyer at Fulbright Crooker Freeman Bates & Jaworski and was assigned to work on Camco's tax and corporate matters. He was immediately friendly and thoughtful and appreciative of my work and thoughts. At some point I grew mutton chops. He began to call me James Garfield after the President who had mutton chops. After I left Fulbright, from time to time we would run in to each other and it was for me and I think for both of us a brief but happy reunion of dear friends. I have thought of him often over the years - his easy smile, his gentle but wise manner and his great mind. I am sorry for your loss.
