Lena Larkin Obituary

LENA COOK LARKIN, 83, of Houston passed away on Jan 3, 2004, after courageously fighting cancer for 6 years. Born in Leslie, Idaho, she lived in Utah, Idaho, California, the Netherlands and Philippines before making her home in Houston 30 years ago. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she taught high school. Her passions and interests included her family, church service, teaching, gourmet cooking, traveling and her garden. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph B. Larkin; her children Carolann Naugle, Joseph W. Larkin, Kathleen Wardle, their spouses and her 9 darling grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Brigham Young University, c/o Orrin Olsen, PO Box 27188 Provo, UT 84602, or Huntsman Cancer Center. We will honor her on Sat. Jan. 11, at 11 am.
