Leslie Biggs Obituary

Leslie "Kim" Desselle Biggs
11/29/1956 - 01/20/2025
Leslie "Kim" Desselle Biggs was born November 29, 1956, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Kim graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1974, and after traveling abroad, she moved to Houston, Texas. It was there she met the love of her life, Karl Biggs, and the two married on her birthday, November 29, 1980. Together they built a beautiful life, and Kim enjoyed a rewarding career in the airline industry.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents Milburn A. Desselle and Marion B. Desselle. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Karl, their two children, Olivia D. Biggs, Trey Biggs and his wife Laura and two cherished grandchildren, Harlow and Malcolm Biggs. Kim is also survived by her sisters Charlene Miller and her husband Andre, Cheryl Nugent, and brothers Duane and Tony Desselle, as well as her stepsisters Denise Rougon, Pat Brumley and her husband David, Pam Daine, Lisa Carlos and her husband Tim.
Throughout her life, Kim had many passions that brought her joy and fulfillment. She loved basking in the warmth of the sun and relaxing on the beach. She was a talented craftswoman, with a particular love for fabric painting, lampwork beads, music boxes, and ceramics. Kim adored supporting the Kingwood High School theatre department, always present at performances and offering her time and encouragement to help the program thrive. Alongside Karl, she spent many years serving others, particularly through their work feeding the homeless. They dedicated their time to preparing and serving home-cooked meals to those in need.
For the past six years, Kim faced the challenges of Parkinson's disease with remarkable courage and resilience. She was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt. Her legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
