Loraine Montalbano Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, LORAINE TAMBORELLO MONTALBANO passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2003 after a long illness. She was 87 years old. She was born on October 4, 1915 in Houston, Texas to Pete and Annie Tamborello. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church for 45 years. She was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart, the Charity Guild of St. Joseph and the Tapawingo Club. Mrs. Montalbano was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Joseph P. Montalbano. She will be deeply missed by sons Phillip Montalbano and wife Joanna, Ray Montalbano and wife Sandra; grandchildren Joe Phillip Montalbano and wife Kimberly, Roy Frank Montalbano and fiancée Dalene Killian, Loraine Ann Judge and husband Craig Joseph; great grandchildren Nicholas Phillip, Julianna Marie, Morgan Alexandria, and Nathan Joseph; sister Sadie Tinerella and sister-in-law Mary Rizzo; numerous nieces and nephews and life long friends Frances and Charlie Corona. The Montalbano family would like to thank the loving care provided by Joyce Clement, Pat Arp, Freddie Miller, Geraldine Polk, Dorothy Wright and Sister Maria Murrary. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive with a combined Rosary at 3:00 p.m. said by the Ladies of Sacred Heart and the Charity Guild of St. Joseph. A Rosary will also be said by the Amiketos Club at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd. with Rev. Paul R. Chovanec as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Phillip Montalbano, Roy Montalbano, Craig Judge, Frank Pizzitola, Joseph Schiro and Carl Mattalino III. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions made to the Alzheimer's Association of Houston, 11251 Northwest Freeway, Suite 300, Houston, Texas 77092-6529 or Houston Hospice, 8811 Gaylord, Suite 100, Houston, Texas 77024-2923.
