Louis Welbes Obituary

LOUIS A. WELBES passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2004. He was born in Bridgewater, South Dakota May 15, 1916. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of 61 years; son, Timothy and wife Peggy, son, Robert, and daughter, Kelly Abagnale and husband Frank; and nine grandchildren. 2 sisters and 6 brothers preceded him in death. Louis served in the U.S. Army Engineers in World War II; two years were spent in the European Theater including the Battle of the Bulge. Louis was a member of the American Legion #560 and a long time member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Visitation hours are from 5pm-8pm on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home with a Vigil-Rosary to be held at 6:00 pm in the Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, May 7, 2004 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, with Rev. James B. Anderson, S.T.D. celebrant. The Rite of Committal will follow at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.
