Margie Putman Obituary

MARGIE R. PUTMAN, 80, was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 5, 2005 in Houston. She was born on July 12, 1925 to Luther and Bertha Kitchens in Whitney,Texas. Mrs. Putman was a wonderful Christian woman. She loved the Lord and was happy to share His love. Margie and her husband Harry were constant companions during their 45 year marriage. Their devotion to the union of marriage made them as one. They remained side by side until his death in 1998. She always adored her husband. Since being separated by death, she longed to see him again. Having personally met her Lord and Savior and being with Harry once again Margies' joy is now complete. Mrs. Putman had retired from Gulf Printing after having worked there for over 30 years. Gardening was her favorite passtime. She loved tending her flowers. Margie was a faithful member of the Lindale Assembly of God for many years. Survivors include her sisters Lola Taylor and Helen Hunt and her husband Joe and her brother Bill Kitchens and his wife Frances, all of California. Also surviving are many many nieces and nephews. Her extended family was also very important to her. It included members of her church and her beloved neighbors. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the Lindale Assembly of God, 500 North Loop 610 East, at 2:30 P.M. with Bro. Randy Meeks officiating.
