2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight I have ran the race, I have kept my faith.

This is Ms. Carmen. She was a very strong woman of faith. She is an encouragement to this generation and a great example to everyone who chooses to follow God!

Surely she must know in Heaven that she touched every one of our lives in my family through her generous expression of love and acceptance. Our friend, Carmen did NOT succumb to illness in our hearts; rather, she WON the final victory for which we look forward in being in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the Father. May God bless those who survive her, whose lives she touched. We'll miss her.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! Carmen was our greatly loved sister here at Houston Faith Church. She was a precious woman and full of the love of Jesus. We will miss her smile and her big hugs, but the spark of God in her will live forever with us. She went ahead of us, on to Heaven to be with our Lord forever, but those in Christ will see her again one day. Until then, we continue our work in God's kingdom without her, endeavoring to bring others to the Truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She has joined the witnesses in Heaven who are cheering on those of us still running the race here on earth. I thank God for Carmen's friendship, her faithfulness, her testimony of Jesus, and her life. And I will miss her.

Carmen's life was a living testament of the love of Jesus Christ. Her love for her Lord was so evident in her and shined brightly before all people to see. I will cherish the memory and greatly miss that sweet smiling face. She was always present with that smile.... loving people. Her favorite English word must have been "beautiful" because she said it to me almost every time I saw her. She loved everyone and thought everyone was beautiful. And that is the nature of her Heavenly Father, which she bore. I am so glad that God gave me an opportunity to share in Carmen's life as a Pastor, an eternal sister in Christ, and a friend... what a blessing! I thank God for Carmen's life in Him, then in the earth, and now with Him in Heaven. And I rejoice that I will see her again with our Lord!

To Carmen's family, I mourn with you in the loss of a great woman. And I stand with you, praying the strength, comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit. May God be with you.

Una buena amiga nos tratabamos como familia. Ella siempre vio por mi y por mi familia y era muy buena. Siempre hablaba de sus hijos y de lo orgullosa que estaba y adoraba a sus nietos. Siempre le pedia a dios que los protegiera.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

These words are from my Mom: Gloria Garcia

You are in our thoughts and prayers. You will be greatly missed. Yes she did love being with family during the holidays and birthdays and just because. I recall those days here in Chicago, when the Meneses family lived here back in the '70's. My Aunt Carmen was a great woman and will always be remembered as a very kind, cheerful and loving woman.

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

My prayers are with the many friends and family that must endure such a tremendous and heartfelt loss. I hope that each of you can find comfort in knowing that Carmen has come to rest in the arms of the Lord.

Ana, Rudy, Alfonso, Daniel and family my deepest sympathy for you and your family. Carmen made such an impact on me long ago. Even though i have not been to some of the family gatherings in the last few years. I have great memories of her and beautiful spirit. Which i see in each of you. You carry on her legacy by celebrating life through each of you. The hardest thing is to let go. But, you never have to let go in your heart. She is truly now with our lord and savior. Blessings

Carmen was like a mother to me, I literally grew up in her home which was always filled with love and care. There was never a day or night that I was ever turned away I was always welcome in her home.
I have never lost anyone in my family in life nor anyone as close as Carmen. There will always be a special place in my heart for her.
I know that she's in a better place but to me and I am sure the rest of her family we wish she was still here.

Carmen was a good woman, and has a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with them. This is not time to be sad, this is time for joy knowing that she is in a much better place. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1Corin15:55

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

CARMEN WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON TO ME. I HAVE KNOWN HER SINCE I WAS 7 YRS OLD. THATS OVER 20 YEARS. THATS HOW LONG MY SISTER HAS BEEN MARRIED TO HER SON RUDY. SHE SPENT ALMOST ALL HOLIDAYS, BIRTHDAYS, AND OTHER SPECIAL OCCASIONS WITH US INCLUDING MY WEDDING AND SHE WAS PRESENT FOR THE BIRTH OF MY SON, BRANDON, HER NINO. WE ARE VERY SADDENED BY THIS LOSS, BUT WE KNOW THAT SHE IS VERY HAPPY WHERE SHE IS NOW, WITH HER BROTHER AND HUSBAND. CARMEN LOVED TO SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE LOVED HOLIDAYS AND BIRTHDAYS AND I AM GRATEFUL THAT WE WERE A PART OF THAT FOR A VERY LONG TIME, ALONG WITH DANIEL, ALFONSO, JANINA, RUDY, ORALIA, AND THE GIRLS. IT WAS GREAT AND I HAVE MANY MEMORIES TO CHERISH AND LOVE. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR LOVE CARMEN. WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU. CYNTHIA, JAIME, AND BRANDON SILVA.

I would just like to expression my sympathy to your family. Hermana Carmen alway came to church with love, smile on her face and candy for the kids. I remember her always bringing a little something for my kids. My own mother has passed away and never got to know my kids (Carlos, Marc, & Josh) I always felt blessed that she would take the extra time with my kids.
God bless
