Marilyn Self Obituary

MARILYN MAREK SELF passed away on March 28, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 66. Marilyn was born on February 22, 1943 in Alexandria, LA. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Albina Blaha Marek. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, John Wayne Self; daughter, Audrienne Winfrey; grandson, James Wayne Dempsey and wife Michelle; brother, Charles Marek and wife Judy; sister, Juanita "Toots" Mettura; nephews,Phillip Marek and Blaine Mettura; nieces, Marilyn Carroll and Denise Foroughi and husband Saeed; great nephews, Steven Horvath, Ryan and Arman Foroughi; great niece, Veronica Horvath; along with many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Vsetin Czech Moravian Brethren Church in Hallettsville, Texas. Internment will follow at Vsetin Cemetery.
