Marlene Joy Cohen
1934-2015
On Friday, December 4, 2015, Marlene Joy Cohen, daughter of Beatrice and Ben Clark, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home in the Woodlands. Marlene was born in Galveston on August 26, 1934, and was a gifted artist, loving wife and mother. She leaves behind Rikki Layne, Scott Cohen, Cori Grant, Brian Cohen, and too many beautiful grandchildren to list.
Marlene will be laid to rest at Congregation Beth Jacob Cemetery in Galveston on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., with Rabbi Todd Doctor officiating.
Marlene was loved by all who knew her and she will be terribly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Young Audiences of Houston (yahouston.org).

I was a child when we came with my father, Aaron Klausner, who led the high holiday services in Abilene, for 50 years. Marlene was so beautiful, so gracious, and became a wonderful friend. Her loss is immense, and her canvasses remain a fond memory of her shining light.
