Mary was a beautiful, wonderful, kind and very intelligent woman with a great sense of humor. As Woody and Audrey's daughter she could be nothing more. A great friend for fifty six years. She is greatly missed -especially on Pearl Harbor Day.

I have not seen or talked with dear Mary for many years and just now thought about her. Did not know she had passed away.I knew her mother and father and shared many times with them at River Oaks Country Club and at her and Johns home on Del Monte in Houston. Our children skied together many times with Houston Ski Club. Mary stayed with me numerous times in Memorial when she visited in Houston after getting remarried and moving out of town. She was such a sweet and lovely lady. My thoughts to Jennifer and John and family.

Mary and I worked together for a very short time in Houston in the Spring of 1978 , in the front office of the Soccer NASL, Houston Hurricane. I knew her just a bit for no more than 6 months but she was a delight to know and to work with. I knew that she was very talented, cultured and well traveled.
RIP Mary.

I'm so sorry to see this news and my very best wishes to John and to her family too.

My dad and Mary's dad knew each other through the life insurance business and so Mary was almost the only person that I even knew who she was when we both arrived for freshman year at Smith College. After that year, the grass was greener at home so she went back to Houston and finished at Rice. I was sorry to lose her then, but lo and behold many years later we met again when her stepson Wyatt married my cousin Beth Boggess. What a wonderful and unexpected chance to reconnect, and now I'm sorry to lose her all over again. My condolences to all of her family.

Mary and Bob took me into their home when my sister had cancer and showed me how gracious they were. She asked me, "What do you collect?" What an interesting way to start a conversation. It's the little things that I remember. She bought a nightie to my sister saying, "It's a pretty."

I have One Memory Of Mary due to not knowing her well but I loved running into her with her huge smile. I came across her sitting on a bench on the bike trail as I rode up to her on my bike. Mary was bewildered looking telling me "What the Hell was I Thinkin being on roller blades way away from my Car?" We laughed together on the bench about it being the beginning of trying out the blades and how her Feet where killing her ... she looked so tired telling me just how tired she was. I suggested to take them off and walk back in her socks. She all but kissed me with this idea and said, why didn't I think of that? I will always remember Mary even though I never got to know her real well. I'm Truly Sorry for Your Loss Joanne
