Mary Marchman Obituary

MARY ELLEN KIRVEN MARCHMAN, 88, died Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Waxahachie. She was born Oct. 7, 1917 in Waxahachie, the daughter of John Dunagan and Roberta Caldwell Kirven. She was valedictorian of Waxahachie High School. She attended Trinity University, graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. She received her Masters in Library Science from Vanderbilt/Peabody College in Nashville, TN. She is survived by two sons and their wives, John and Cathy Pearson of Houston, Rusty and Diann Marchman of Waxahachie; two daughters, Ellen Pearson of Monterey, MA, Robin and her husband, Joe Owens of Waco; 12 grandchildren, Ennis Blount Baker and her husband, Dennis, Kirven Blount, Myra Raney, Meg Pearson, Dunagan Pearson, Philip Pearson, Jennifer Marchman, Taylor Marchman and his wife, Denice, Evan Marchman and his wife, Jennifer, Douglas Owens and his wife, Jenny, Logan Owens and Emily Owens; 7 great grandchildren, Jesse Dellea, Noah Dellea, Elsie Baker, Kirven Marchman, Dunagan Marchman, Walker Owens and J. Owens. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie. Private family graveside services will be in the Waxahachie City Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Kirven Blount, Taylor Marchman, Evan Marchman, Logan Owens, Dunagan Pearson and Philip Pearson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sims Library, 515 W.
