Mary McAleer Obituary

MARY LOU McALEER, 79, passed away December 2, 2001. Mrs. McAleer was born December 31, 1921 in Houston to Loula Repsdorph Risdon and Col. Arthur M. Risdon. She had been a very active member of Holy Ghost Church having served as president of the Mother's Club, Bazaar Chairman, and CYO Director for many years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edmund J. McAleer and Charles L. Comerford. She is survived by her daughter: Kathleen M. Oliver and husband Pete of Corpus Christi, TX; Son: Edmund J. "Mac" McAleer, Jr. and wife Betty Frost McAleer of Houston; grandchildren: Sean Michael Ferns of Houston, Colleen Ferns Thomas and husband Dave of Corpus Christi, TX, Edmund John McAleer, III of Houston, and Anna Kathleen McAleer of Houston; great-grandchildren: Kyle Patrick Thomas and Andrew Michael Thomas. Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 6921 Chetwood with Rev. Edward Glebe, C.S. s. R., Celebrant, Pallbearers: Sean Ferns, John McAleer, Dave Thomas, Scot Oliver, Biff Oliver and Mike Ferns. Rite of Committal: Garden of Gethsemani in Forest Park Lawndale.
