Michael Mitchel Obituary

Michael
Mitchel

Michael Forest Mitchel passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Mike was born in Houston, TX to Catherine Mary Hennessy Mitchel and Elo "Fritz" Mitchel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Patrick Keith Mitchel. Mike graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel H.S. and attended San Jacinto Junior College before landing a job as one of the original employees of Southwest Airlines. He worked as a gate agent for 40 years and loved sharing many wonderful memories and stories! In his free time, Mike enjoyed playing golf, visiting Las Vegas, doting on his Jack Russell Terriers, Molly B and Maxwell and watching the Astros, the Texans and Me TV oldies.

Our family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the staff at Belmont Senior Living - West University and AccentCare Hospice for their compassion and care.
