Michael "Buddy" Scott
1953-2022
Michael David "Buddy" Scott Mike Scott died peacefully at home in Driftwood, Texas on March 13, 2022, at 68 years of age, ending an intense struggle with diabetes and related conditions. He proudly lived a life of brave and dedicated service as a firefighter and EMT for the Houston Fire Department for 25 years. Mike will be remembered for his cooking and guitar playing as well as his boundless energy and fearless enjoyment of boating, camping, riding motorcycles and any other vehicle with power and speed. Mike was born in Houston, Texas, to parents, Marshall and Sue Scott, on September 21, 1953. He leaves behind to honor his memory his son David (Jayme), and daughters, Lindsey, Julie and Shelley; sister, Sheryl (Eddie), niece Sarah (Robbie), and nephews Jeff (Julie) and Alan. Also, he will be remembered by grandchildren Nathan, Lauren, Bailey and Landon. He was predeceased by his treasured parents and his memory is honored by a host of cousins, friends and former co-workers. His life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at Groveton Funeral Home. Remembrances in his honor may be made to a charitable endeavor of your choice in lieu of flowers.
