Oscar Einkauf Obituary
Oscar E. Einkauf Jr., 86, of Houston, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born September 14, 1924, the son of the late Oscar and Ruby Einkauf of Hallettsville. He graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1942 and served his country during WWII as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp. During the war, he served with the 20th Air Force, 1st Squadron, 9th Bombardment Group, 313th Wing based on the island of Tinian in the Marianas. After the war, he attended the University of Texas, graduating in 1949 with a degree in accounting. He earned his Texas CPA license in 1952 and worked primarily for the Bank of the Southwest and was the CFO of Southwest Bancshares prior to his retirement.
Oscar is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eunice Armstrong Einkauf of Melfort, Saskatchewan, his son Oscar III and his wife Connie, their children Kaitlin and Charles all of Plano, TX, his son Robert and his wife Carol, their children Jane, Robert Jr., and Stephen all of Houston.
Graveside only services will be held at the Hallettsville City Municipal Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Einkauf,
Words can't express my sympathy and love for you, nor my admiration for my "second dad." You all were there to help me and guide me and I won't ever forget the many lessons that you taught.
