Patrick McRae Obituary

PATRICK MICHAEL (MICK) McRAE, 48 of Crosby, passed away on May 16, 2003. A native Houstonian, he was born June 5, 1954 to Frank and Ella (Young) McRae. Following graduation from Lamar High School, he attended the University of Texas and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Pharmacy. While employed as a pharmacist at Texas Children's Hospital in 1994, he met his best friend and the love of his life, Vickie Gilmore. Mick was an avid golfer and loved music. He was quick to share a smile and always made time for others. Preceded in death by his father Frank McRae, he is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Gilmore-McRae; mother Ella Y. McRae; brothers Frank McRae and his wife Sue of Sealy, and Grady McRae and his wife Jan of Houston. A service celebrating Mick's life will be held at sunset on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Mick and Vicki's home. Officiating will be Phil Harrington from Atascocita Community Church. Following the service, friends are invited to stay for a reception. Mick was a special man and leaves a void that can never be filled. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. L.A. Dear MCRAE Family, I was so,so sorry to learn of Mickey's death. We knew each other in high school and college, even after; and I always thought he was such a UNIQUE individual!! I'll be keeping him and all your family in my prayers.
