I will always remember you, Paul. The first person to welcome me to the MST boards.

May you always be reading and posting.

My post called you "Muffy", instead if Muzzy. You´d probably laugh. Spellcheck hasn´t improved in the last 20 years!

But you know who you are, and so do we.

Dear Muffy, I still remember how welcoming you were to this newbie to the MST boards. Those were great days.

May you be at peace.

Muzzy was the first person whose post I saw on the MST boards on AOL many years ago (which I'd found by accident), and it was his wit and warmth that first drew me in. He was the heart of that community, and could be counted on to provide a calming, hilarious, puckish, or incisive moment when needed -- sometimes all those at once, sometimes when you didn't even know you needed it until you had it. Years later, I was lucky enough to meet him IRL in Minnesota, at the second MST convention, where he helped me brave the monstrous Mall of America and provided a shining exception to the "Don't ever meet your heroes" rule.

Paul had a sweet way of wrapping you up in his heart that was rare and beautiful. I love and miss him to this day, and will always be grateful for having had the chance to call him friend. Wherever he may be, I hope he knows that he is loved.

Paul, you are still missed and loved. Read and post, you always wrote, so that’s what I still do. Rest in peace, Muzzy.

Dear Muzzy, can it really be that you've been away for so long? So much has changed, yet Joel, Frank, Trace and so many others are still chugging along. I wish that you were still here to share the ride.

Keep flying your freak flag high, wherever you are...

Cheryl Bulbach, MSTIE forever

I still can't believe he's gone. He was such a presence - it's hard to imagine a world without him. I'm glad we got to meet in person a few times; I will remember the '98 Texacon particularly. Great fun.

We shared an affinity for dark, irreverent humor, and he probably wouldn't want to be excessively eulogized (ouch!), so I'll just say this: It's a testament to the quality of his friendship, the incisiveness of his wit, and the depth of his creativity that among the friendliest, funniest, most creative people I know - the AOL MSTies - he still stood out.

I will miss you Muzzy.

It is a great loss for all of us that Muzzy is gone from our midst. On the boards, no matter what was going on, he was always a happy, welcoming voice among the chaos and turmoil.

I hope that he is at peace, and that his family can take comfort in knowing how much he was loved and how much he will be missed by us all.

Muzzy was one of the first to welcome me to the AOL MST message boards. He was one of the pillars of the MST'ie community. I never met him in person, and I always regretted missing my chance at the '96 MST Conventio-Con.

Muzzy, If Dung Horsesnot is let into Heaven by mistake, see that he has plenty of 'Spam Jerkey' and direct him to...well, you know where.

Paul was a good friend to many of us online. I never got to meet him in person but I always felt as if I did. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor and his staunch support.

God bless you, Paul, and Godspeed.

I met Paul in 1998 at an aol MSTie mini-con, and he was extremely kind and funny. It was fun to hang around with him because we have similar senses of humor; I'll never forget taking pictures in downtown Dallas with the humongous collection of cattle statues they have there, pretending they were real and just goofing off. I have so many memories from that weekend involving Paul being funny with all of his toys and making sure I was having a good time. His death has stunned me; I'm just going to miss him online so much. I wish I could be there at his funeral. Tell him Laurel misses him and that we all love our Muzzy.

I don't know what I can say about Muzzy that hasn't already been said. He was the one constant on the AOL mstie boards. He touched many lives and hearts across this country. He will be fondly and lovingly remembered by all.

Paul was almost always the first to greet newcomers to the MST AOL boards. (read and post :) ) He was just that kind of guy -- always willing to be a friend. We had some great IM conversations and I'll always appreciate his down-to-earth "been there, done that" outlook on life. He will be missed by all who he touched. Godspeed Paul.

So many nights I got a much needed dose of humor from reading an e-mail that Muzzy had sent. My thoughts are with his family at this time. Know that he touched many MSTies with his sense of humor and wit and will be sorely missed.

From a fellow MSTie who always enjoyed Paul's offbeat humor and generous spirit: Muzzy, I remember your postings on AOL; many of them had me chuckling for days. You will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace.
