Muzzy was the first person whose post I saw on the MST boards on AOL many years ago (which I'd found by accident), and it was his wit and warmth that first drew me in. He was the heart of that community, and could be counted on to provide a calming, hilarious, puckish, or incisive moment when needed -- sometimes all those at once, sometimes when you didn't even know you needed it until you had it. I still can't believe he's gone. He was such a presence - it's hard to imagine a world without him. I'm glad we got to meet in person a few times; I will remember the '98 Texacon particularly. Great fun.
