Paul GREGORY Obituary

PAUL CHADWICK (CHAD) GREGORY, 41, of Houston, beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, died May 30, 2012 peacefully in his sleep. Chad is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Kathy, sons John Paul and Anthony, mother Linda, father Robert, brother Chris, his wife Claire and their children Sarah and Elliott, his grandmother Virginia and many extended family members and good friends. Chad was born in Pasadena, Texas, on May 5, 1971 and grew up in Clear Lake, Texas, where he graduated from Clear Lake High School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Houston and has been a mortgage loan officer for 20 years, most recently as Sales Manager in Katy, Texas, for Texas Capital Lending.
Chad was a generous and loving man, with a spirit and personality larger than life. He was happiest out in the backyard, tending his vegetable gardens and grilling burgers and boiling crawfish for a large crowd of family and friends. Chad was a lifelong hunter, fisherman and surfer, passionate about photography and coaching and cheering on his boys in basketball, soccer and track. He was a parishioner at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Houston, where he served his faith community in the Knights of Columbus. Chad was a cancer survivor, who endured his illness and treatment with great courage and true grit. He never met a stranger and will always be missed and remembered with much love and deep affection.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, June 4th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with rosary beginning at 7:00 PM, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire, Texas, 77401. Chad's funeral mass will be on Tuesday, June 5th, at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link Road, Houston, Texas 77025. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to the Gregory family. I didn't know Chad personally but I did know his Mom Linda and she talked about her kids all the time when we worked together at Bank United. May God Bless his wife and family and I will keep you in my prayers.

I didn't know Chad personally, only met him at the fence of my parents back yard. Chad and I only had the opportunity to talk at the fence a time or two. I found out he worked with one of my cousins for awhile. The thing I will hold in my memory, and what I'm most grateful for to Chad, is how considerate and compassionate he was to my mom since my dad's passing in 2006. There's an old saying, "the good die young" Chad is the perfect example of how this is so true. Way, way too young to go so soon, but he finished ALL his work The Lord put him here to do. So in his sleep, The Lord called his home for his eternal reward. WOW - What a blessed way to get to go home! God bless, protect, and comfort the family and friends who were left behind - but are only being left behind for awhile. Until that time comes, just know one thing is for sure - A much better world - DEFINITELY! So much better we can't even begin to comprehend - but Chad knows!!

Kathy,
I only met Chad 3 or 4 months ago - he was introduced to me by my broker and I had the good fortune to work with him a few times. I am glad I had the chance to know him - if only for a short while. He always spoke fondly of you and your boys. My prayers and condolences are with you and your family -
