My mom and I met Mrs. Tang in 1988 at CBC when mom came to visit me. Mom stayed for a little while and returned back to San Francisco to take care of grandma. During that time,Mrs Tang always asked about mom. When mom finally settled down in Houston, they became really good friends. They would called each other if one of them missed church. Mom told me that Mrs. Tang really liked me. Mrs. Tang hadn't come to church for quite a while and mom and I both missed her. I know that she suffered quite a bit during her last days. Althought she is no longer with us but the thought that she is in a better place and free of sufferings will comfort us. She will remain in my memory as one of my favourite "Mom's friends."

I met Pearl at CBC in 1988 when I first came to Houston. We became good firends shortly after that. She told me several times that she wished that she had known me when both of us were young so that we could gone shopping and done fun things together. Since I don't drive and Pearl, due to age, didn't drive that much any more, we always enjoyed meeting each other at our Sunday school class every Sunday when both of our kids took us to church. I know that I am going to miss her but I am also happy that she is in a better place now.

My family has been Pearl Tang's neighbor for over 12 years now and we will truly miss her. She always showed kindness to her neighbors and all the children on our street. She will be missed tremendously. It was a pleasure to have known someone with such a kind heart and caring spirit.
