Peter J. (PJ) Hanke passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. Born in Bethesda, Maryland on February 28, 1988, PJ and family moved to Tomball, Texas when PJ was six. PJ was active in Klein ISD Orchestra from fifth grade through high school, graduating from Klein Oak High School in 2006. PJ was also involved in Houston Chapter of Texas DeMolay, and was elected as State Junior Counselor, as well as State Bethel Beau for Texas Job's Daughters.
In 2009 PJ became sick, and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease following his first surgery in 2010. Always a fighter, PJ received a life saving multivisceral transplant in 2017, followed by a kidney transplant in 2019. After three different cancers, PJ was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma early this year, which could not be treated properly.
PJ is survived by his parents, siblings, a niece and nephews, who will always love him and miss his kind heart and spirit.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church The Woodlands, 3901 South Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381, on Saturday October 19th, 2024 at 2:00pm, with a DeMolay memorial at 1:30pm.
