Peter Raymond Twiddy November 21, 1946- September 6th, 2009 PETER TWIDDY, aged 62, died on September 6th, 2009 with his loving family at his side in his home in Houston, TX. A proud Englishman, his career in the oil industry brought him and his family across the pond to Houston in 1988. The original three-year contract developed into a permanent arrangement and Houston quickly became a place he and his family called home. Peter had an incredibly loving and inspiring relationship with the wife he adored, Lynn. His children Daniel, Kim, and Esta will especially miss his company, advice, wisdom, and sense of humor. His grandson Max will miss playing and having fun with his Granddad. Together with his extended family and friends, they will each keep alive the memory of this wonderful husband, father, granddad, brother, friend, father-in-law, and colleague. Peter was diagnosed with mesothelioma in December of 2003. He inspired many with his strength, courage, and amazing attitude while confronting the disease, with the help of the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff at MD Anderson. Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks funeral home on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following at the same location at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to MD Anderson Cancer Center at 713-792-3450.
