R.C. ("KAP") Johnson made his final transition on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:41 P.M. in Hermann Memorial North East Hospital Humble, Texas. He was born in Nineveh, Texas, April 16, 1931, the second son of the late Robert and Lizzie Johnson. R.C.'s Christian experiences included Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Nineveh, Texas, Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church and New Faith Baptist Church NE, Houston, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army as Cpl. First Class for two years and retired from ILA Local 24 after 22 years. R.C. attended Nineveh Elementary, St. Paul Jr. / Sr. High School, Oakwood, Texas, and Texas Southern University with a Major in P.E. and Minor Biology. R.C. leaves to celebrate his life and mourn his transition, his wife of 62 years, Loisy Eagleton Johnson; three children, Daryl Johnson (Debra), Pshaun Johnson Mathis (Michael) and Melechia Mitchell (Terry); three grandchildren, Kimberly Carr, Jarrett Johnson (Ireoine), and Terry Mitchell, (Jr.); four brothers and four sisters, Eva Bell, Centerville, Texas, Martha Henry (William), Dorothy Willis, Bessye Clark (Franklin), Ordry Johnson, Royce Johnson (Shirley), Allen Johnson (Loretta), all of Houston, Texas and Goree Johnson (Diane), Desoto, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at Mt. Rose Church of God in Christ, Elder Ron Eagleton, Pastor, 13000 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Crosby, Texas on Thursday, July 2, 2015 beginning with the viewing at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Services will be officiated by Elder Anthony Eagleton and interment is at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran Memorial, Houston, Texas.
