Dr. Berkeley performed multiple operations on my eyes as a young boy to correct a muscle imbalance which made me cross-eyed. The last one was in 1972, and it completely cured me. I was truly blessed to be a patient of such a terrific doctor and surgeon. My deepest sympathies to his family in this difficult time. Dr. Berkeley helped many people in his life, and his family should be very proud of his accomplishments and good works for others. His life was truly well-lived!

The See to Succeed Program (STS) will be forever grateful for Dr. Berkeley’s leadership and commitment to serving children’s eye care needs in our community. As an original founding member, Dr. Berkeley was an integral part of carrying See to Succeed from idea to action. He leaves behind a legacy that is unmatched. Many children will continue to receive the necessary eyecare they need because of Dr. Berkeley’s efforts. He will be truly missed.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this most difficult time. Berkeley has been my optic care of choice for decades. My vision challenges are ongoing, but Berkeley's exceptional team of opthamologists give me the best care possible. Thank you, Dr. Berkeley...and may you rest in peace.

Losing someone so special is almost unbearable, just know that it's okay to not be okay during this time... grieve at your own pace and always keep his memory alive. His thoughtful ways will definitely be missed and remember all the lives he changed for the better during his career... I consider myself lucky to have had the chance to work with him...

I first met Dr. Berkeley in 1973 when my husband was his stockbroker. Dr. Berkeley became my friend and my eye doctor. He was a fine man. May God give Dr. Berkeley's family comfort and peace during this time of loss. Shearie Trimble
