Richard and I were great friends in high school and even dated a little. I don't do Facebook much but some years back I found him and we would chat on and off. He was a great friend. There are so many fond memories I have of Richard from hanging listening to music in his room to hanging out with our other friends to going to the beach and so on. He always made me smile and he was so very smart. I will miss our conversations . I was planning on visiting him in Austin. I am so sorry for the family's loss. My condolences. He was taken way too early.

Richard was the real deal when it came to service work. We work together closely and his heart was always in the right place to help our brothers and sisters in recovery. He will be missed and was an example for many to come.

"Little Richard" about 40 years ago on our front porch (with my brothers and 2 friends). He was a sweet kid and will be missed by all who knew him, myself included. Sincerest condolences to Sarah and her parents, I know their pain is deep.

Condolences to the family and friends. Got to meet with Richard a few ago after 30 plus years. Facebook has kept us in touch since. Richard inspired me to find better ways to help the homeless in my local community. He'll be missed.
