Rita M. Kominczak, age 72, born July 9, 1951 in Halletsville, Texas, passed away unexpectantly on July 26, 2023 in Houston, Texas A visitation with the public will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Kubena Funeral Home, 507 South Main, Hallettsville, Texas 77964.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 East Fifth Street, Hallettsville, Texas 77964, followed by the Rite of Committal at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hallettsville, Texas.

I'm thankful for the privilege to have worked with such a mild-mannered and pleasant person as Rita. I looked forward to her greeting each morning as I entered Douglas MacArthur High School. Our last meeting became a mini-reunion. Rita was one of my favorite former coworkers. No doubt her family and friends will miss her more. I pray that God gives you His strength, His peace, and His comfort during this this time of bereavement.
