1946-2020
Robert (Bob) Lee Atkins, Jr., a friend to many, an associate to many others, a professional football player, a high school and university coach, teacher, and mentor to hundreds died September 22, 2020, at age 74 with his devoted wife at his bedside. He was a loving husband to Dottie Winchester Atkins and proud father of Christopher Eliot Atkins.
A walk-through Visitation will be held from 8:30-10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 3, 2020. An Invitational Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Both services will take place at The Church Without Walls, 5725 Queenston Blvd. • Houston, TX. 77084; Interment, Paradise Cemetery (North) West Montgomery • Houston, Texas 77088. Masks Required.

Our hearts grieve for this great loss of life well-lived. Family and legacy have been established beyond the boundaries of kinship. Uncle Bob, as we have known him, will always be remembered as devoted husband to his love, Dottie, and a gentleman to all who knew him best. We will miss his presence, however, his enduring love of family and friends will remain in our hearts and memories until we meet again. May God's peace comfort his family and those left to grieve.

Condolences to the Atkins family from SHIRLEY Taylor Johnson also a member of TCWW. Love and Sincere Prayers are with his wife and family during this most difficult time...Another link in our Church family chain has been broken but have peace in knowing that we shall all be reunited again ! I am the sister to Eugene & Alma Taylor who considered Bob a CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS Brother & Friend !
