Sister Mama Sonya & The Lucas-Family

February 23, 2009

An angel has returned to the fold. The Lucas Family has also experienced a great loss. Robert adopted my mother as his mom years ago as a member of Good Hope & as his teacher. He fondly referred to himself as our big brother. We are still being blessed by his eloquence & heartfelt words spoken at my mother's funeral. Blessings to the family & we pray that You find Peace in the midst of your storm. He is absent from the body, but his memory will linger in our hearts forever.

To the Washington Family,
Earth has no sorrrow that heaven cannot heal. Rev Washington has been healed. A wife has lost a husband, children have lost a father, a church has lost a leader. Fourth Ward has lost a soldier that spent his life fighting to win the souls of the community that he loved so much. Rev Washington showed love to everybody that crossed his path. I never belonged to Macedonia, I simply grew up just 2 doors down. Oh how I felt such a part all of my life. From vacation bible school or sunday morning visits to service there. A life long relationship was developed. I thank God for having Rev Washington and his family as a part of my life. Heavens gate have been opened for an angel.

Sincerely,

Pastor Gerard Robertson

I know you all have very fond memories of Rev. Washington.
Most of them hilarious, We too have a lot of those memories, we were the first couple to be married by him 40 years ago, he christened all of our boys, he gave us advice when we were having marriage problems, even though we are no longer at Macedonia, I always consider it our church home, I love each one of you dearly, if you need me for anything don't hesitate to call me @ 713-548-6571. To my family,

He was truly a work of art and a SPECIAL gift sent from God above. I cannot begin to tell how many times and how many ways Pastor has been a father-figure, a friend, a spiritual leader, and most importantly, a confidant. He was truly an awesome person. You never heard anything bad about Pastor. He was truly the solid rock at Macedonia.

We love you all from the bottom of our hearts and we are always praying for and with you all.

Love, Shemeka, Shemaun, and Jaylin

To the Washington Family,
It is with great sorrow, that we, the family of the late Sis. Seawillr Williams, send you these words.

Pastor Washington was a great man of God, and we are deeply saddened to hear of his home-going.

We hope that these words will bring you consolation during this time of sorrow: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's."

May God bless you and keep is our Family's Prayers.

Rev. Roydrick Miller

February 6, 2009

To our 1st family, We love you and know that God Can, God Will, bring you through. Just as Pastor would say, "Watch me now" as he gets ready to say something profound in one of his messages, God has healed him, perfectly. "We realize where our help comes from...."
