Robert Alan Wells

ROBERT ALAN WELLS, 80 of Houston, TX passed away Saturday, August 9th after a long decline in health. He was born on September 24, 1927 in Patterson, NJ. He was raised in West Halem, England where he worked on a farm as a young boy and attended agricultural college. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp in occupied Germany during WWII. He returned to the US after service where he began a successful sales career with Dictaphone Corp. While in Charlotte, NC, he met and married Barbara Trull, his wife of 52 years. Together they have 3 sons, Robert II, Barry, and Brad. The family settled in Houston where he started his own office furniture business that has continued for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Don; sister, Shirley; as well as his sons; Robert II and wife, Donna, their children, Katelyn, Shelby and Robert III of Houston; Barry and wife, Tammy, their children, Brayden, Lauren, and Reagan of Dallas, and Brad and wife, Sandy, their children, Caleigh, Cameron, Jake and Taryn of Austin. Bob was a very special man and loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 14, 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
