Roland Mouton Obituary
There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 8am to 10am at Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church 2616 Calumet, 77004. The homegoing celebration will begin at 10am following the visitation at the Church. Dr. William T. Glynn, officiating. The interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens.

I remember the exact date and time my brother-in-law transitioned into the presence of the Lord. He is still sorely missed. He was such a loving and caring person. He loved Christian Faith and it's members. He loved to preach and sing praises to God. Rest my brother, until we meet again.

Reverend Roland Mouton, Sr.
When we move from one earthly residence to another, we normally send our friends a change of address card. On that card, we list our new street and city name. Well, Reverend Mouton, Sr. moved from his earthly home to the streets of gold in New Jerusalem City on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
There is no housing shortage there, for he has his own mansion. There is no shortage of light, for the Lord Jesus (the Lamb) lights the city. There is no crime there, for righteousness is the order of the day.
Though such words of prior elegance cannot lessen the hurt we feel at the lost of your loved one, we believers have reason to cheer. That reason is that we will one day see him again in what Mahalia Jackson called "That Great Gittin' Up Morning."
We will keep the Mouton Family in our prayers. May God continue to bless and keep you.

Pastor was one of my favorite pastors. I love you all dearly. Keep your trust in the Lord. He will see you through this season. Remember His promise. He said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." His promise is truly true. I'm praying your strength in the Lord, now and for days to come.
Is. 43:2 is an anchor for sorrowing souls to be healed. It will lift you each time you want to feel God's presence. Isaiah the great Prophet declares it so. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou sall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." And, vs. 18, "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider he things of old." vs. 19 further states: "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
