Ronald Dischinger Obituary

Ronald Ray Dischinger, 88, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on February 18, 2025 in Houston. Ron was born on October 30, 1936, in Victoria, Texas to E. E. Dischinger and Ruby (Koehl) Dischinger. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A & I University in Kingsville. He was an engineer at Transco/Williams Pipeline Co. for over 30 years. Ron was a long-time parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond, Texas and participated with the Golden Hearts. He particularly enjoyed his memories of coaching football for the Alief Youth Association. This loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend will be missed.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Traylor.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 63 years, Mary Dischinger; his sons, Steven Dischinger (Tandy), Mark Dischinger (Abbie) and Lee Dischinger; his brother, Eddie Dischinger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 1:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond.
A second Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at St. George Catholic Church, 304 Crockett St., George West, Texas 78022. Burial to follow at the Gussettville Cemetery.
