1940-2022
Ron McKenzie passed away on April 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice May and Glen McKenzie and also by his wife of 33 years, Dana Smith McKenzie, twin brother, Don McKenzie, and nephew, Cameron McKenzie.
He is survived by his wife Susan, brothers Glen and Mike McKenzie, plus extended family members and many dear friends. Ron will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay, Houston Texas 77024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chapelwood Foundation at the above address. Also, Star of Hope Mission, P.O. Box 1505, Houston, Texas 77251-1505, Tunnels to Towers (online donation), the people of Ukraine, or the charity of your choice.

Susan,
Ron was a great hunting buddy and we always enjoyed his company at Lazy H Ranch in Rocksprings. Ed, Chip and I knew Ron from Gulf States and Gary Nicholas. Ron was such a super nice person and so much fun to be around. I will miss his wit and jokes. Tad Martin

I was saddened to learn of Ron,'s passing. A very capable and honerable man he was. A hood friend in our early years at Gulf States Utilities, i enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on out city bus, which we bought from the City of Beaumont to make into a motor home. May God grant support and comfort to his family.
