My husband and I were blessed to have meet Ronnie through great friends! The first time we hung out we were going swimming. As we started walking towards the pool he asked us to wait so he could grab his sunglasses. When he came back he had on a pair of HUGE clown sunglasses! We knew right away he was going to be a fun guy to be around and he never proved us wrong! You will always be in our hearts and we will continue to pray for strength and peace over your friends and family. Until we meet again!

This was a shock. Even though I hadn't seen you in years I still tell stories of how you took me to see "The Boss" & how much fun we use to have at our print shop. You always held a special place in my heart & I am so sorry for your family losing you so soon. I loved you, Ronnie, like a son.
Peace be with you.

Ronnie and I went to high school together but did not become friends until after we graduated. Even though I have not seen or talked to him in years I can still hear his laugh and him calling me "Woodpecker"! In all of the times we spent together there was never, ever a dull moment. My prayers go out to his family for their tragic loss but just know that he will be watching over you always. Rest in Peace Ronnie - you will always have a piece of my heart.

All the memories from my childhood have been flooding in over the last couple days. It was Ronnie, Justin, Jason & myself rolling around in that beast of a Bronco all over TX. Ronnie would just laugh each time I faceplanted over the skis behind the boat. He was a tough love kind of guy, & I didn't realize how much I appreciated his style until I was older. The guy would cook a steak n taters like a true Texan too! We'd go hunting for wild boar in the middle of the night out at the farm like we knew what we were doing or somethin. I hope he did, because I sure as hell didn't! Camping, roasting our skin at the beach, cruising the lake in a rain storm with Jana, fishing, watching one of the surfboards go flying off the Bronco on the highway.... I could go on & on. Ronnie, I miss ya already. You knew how to be both a father & a friend, & I will take that with me till I see you on the other side.

Thanks for the memories Dad. You'll always be in my heart. You will be missed but better yet you will be celebrated! I can see the bronco down on the beach and all us kids playing. You were always there. You taught my friends to ski behind the boat Just like grandpa taught you and your friends. Your the man! We all have fond memories and I thank you. I do wish a few things different but I know you wouldn't. So journey well my best friend, we will meet again.

Gonna miss you so much Big D. It was an honor and a blessing to have you in my life for the last 16 years. Gonna miss that awesome laugh, we always had ourselves a good time. So many wonderful memories to cherish, trips to the beach, cook offs, concerts, camping. You pulling us around the lake on the knee board making sure we had a blast. You were always a good friend and always there for me. You said hello how are you to everyone you would see. If you had it you gave it. Never a dull moment our last cook off you showed up in a silly hat and started dancing with everyone. One of my favorite things about you was you were a big ole kid! I always knew to get you something to play with for Christmas! You once told me that your kids were the best thing you ever did in your life and that you were so proud of them. You did a great job! So many people love you and you touched so many lives. We are gonna carry you with us always and your memory will live on. Give Grandma Libby and Grandpa a kiss from me. Thanks for everything Ronnie, don't think you would ever believe how much you mean to me.

full of smiles

I remember Ronnie saying to me,"That's how your daddy does it!" Talking about those crawfish he boiled up during the Houston cook-off. I was coughing on the spice. The smile on his face was always there. And he was very welcoming to me and my family into the team. He will be missed.
My family's thoughts and prayers go out to yours in these days ahead. Please know we are here for you if you ever need. I never understood why God takes the best ones so early. But then a little part of me wonders if God is just wanting some of that great company of cooking and laughs that Ronnie always has. God bless you Jennifer, Jason and Justin.
